Last Week, Michael supported Barnsley's 'Pride Over Prejudice' Festival, a celebration of Barnsley's LGBT history and the 50th Anniversary of the Decriminalisation of Homosexuality.
Commenting on the Festival, Michael said:
"I am proud to support equal rights for the LGBT community. That's why I voted for equal marriage when I was first elected to Parliament."
"As a community here in Barnsley, it is also important that we celebrate our diversity and it is why I am keen to support the family-friendly POP festival."
