As reported in the Barnsley Chronicle, South Yorkshire Times and Barnsley News and Sport, Micheal has launched his annual Christmas Card design competition.  Michael has written to all Primary, Junior, Infant and special schools in Barnsley East this week inviting their students to enter.  The best design will be used as Michael's official 2013 Christmas card, which will be sent to hundreds of politicians, local businesses, civic leaders and voluntary groups.

Michael today visited Elsecar Heritage Railway and met with the Chairman, William Tilling and other members of the heritage railway, including Harry Stenton and David Pannett.  Michael also met John Tanner and Richard King from BMBC to discuss possible ways to further promote the railway as an important tourist site in the area.
