Michael visits Hoyland Tesco site to 'cut the ground'

Michael has visited the new Hoyland Tesco site today to 'cut the ground'. He was shown around the site to see how the development will take shape.

Michael was then invited to cut the ground to mark the start of the new sites development. The event was attended by: Tim Hartley, Strategic Asset Manager, Barnsley Council; Simon Fearn, Store Development Manager, Tesco; Mark Thomas, Corporate Affairs Manager, Tesco; Mark Twelves, Managing Director, Litton Property (development partner); Gary Smith, Managing Director, J F Finnegan (contractors); Richard Squire, Development Director, Litton properties; Sarah Woodward, Construction Manager, Litton Properties; Noel Callaghan, Contracts Manager, J F Finnegan; and Ian Tyson, Project Manager, J F Finnegan.

Commenting, Michael said:

"It was great to visit the site today and cut the ground. The jobs the store will create are much needed in the area and I’m looking forward to seeing it opening in late 2014.”
